Oh, yes, I will definitely post in this topic. That is, if my perfectionist side doesn't get too caught up in making things perfect and end up taking to long on the pic, like what happened to the "It doesn't normally have wings..." topic.

Unless you are finished before that time, obviously. :) These are all really friendly people, none will shoot you if you're not pleased with your result.

I know virtually nothing about the novel or movie, so I just went with the generic treasure chest on the sea floor.

The first thing I thought of the deep was that area of the ocean where no sunlight can reach, and bioluminescence is king.
So, fairly simple, ps wacom about 35 min.

Looking good everyone! KDW, yours I like especially, it reminds me of the anime Blue Submarine No. 6 for some reason...butterfly iris, this is OT, but which college do you go to? I'm looking for a SC school with decent art programs, PM me about it to keep the thread on topic. Thanks, and good work all!

Heheh Radieter - I love the feel of yours.

I spent about 2 1/2 hours on PS on this but then my PC crashed and I lost nearly an hour's work.

I'm not sure of the rules - Is it okay to rework it and update the pic ? I'm too frustrated right now to get it up to scratch.

Tonik, I'm sure it's ok. :) Go ahead and rework on it. :)

A lot of really nice paintings in here, Hinoon's and Jeffsimpson's just to name a few. Awesome work everyone!

Mine took about 2 hours in Photoshop. I seem to be quitting on my paintings around two hours.

Great peice, EderPotter. I'd love to see that little fish in motion - it'd make a beautiful peice. Until then I'll have to day dream and smile.

Photoshop, about 3 hrs.

I'm really happy with this one. The hands could do with a bit more detail since they're supposed to be closest, but I thought I'd spent long enough :)
