Hello,
i'm trying to apply particles to a scene and nothing seems to go right. Not managing to apply UDeflector and gfravity, and when i render i don't see any particles, although i see them in viewport.
i'm using 3dmax 4.
does anyone know what might ne the proble?

Cheers

sounds like you just added a particle system to the scene and hit render. there's a few more steps to designing your particle system that you'll be able to find in on-line helps and tutorial files that install with max.

well hello he is asking us. help the guy out!! gezzz

ummm you have to apply a texture to your particles and change the size and rate to make sure they render correctly and show up. you can also change the particle type to a sphere and other geometry

to add a texture hit "M" key on your keyboard and the texture editor appears now change the diffuse colors in one of the slots to the color you want and apply it to your particles now it should render but the size of the particles still needs to be changed go to the particle generation/ particle size properties. change the size and then it should render fine

and to apply a space warp u have to bind the space warp to your particle system. make a gravity space warp then use the bind to space warp button and attach the gravity to your particle system. the bind to spacewarp button is right next to the select object button on the main toolbar

i wasn't being mean. it's more pragmatic. if he has max, then he has the on-line files that that give him the essentials that cover his basic question. he's better off using it as a first line of resource than asking vagues questions here. and in the end, he'll be better off for it.
