I suspect that any cgsociety that gets developed here will derive from one of the existing siggraph chapters (CCS, UofM, SemaFX).

So... who would be interested in having a chapter in this area?

I'd be interested, I spend summers in the lansing area (grew up there, moved to ireland, my mother is from ann arbor!) so if there's something on during the summers, I may well be able to attend.

Well, I'm in the area, but I don't have too much time(at the moment) to organize a huge event or anything. I could help out for a lowkey event now and then.
