View Full Version : Other way of hiding object beside masking?
Netuok 04-29-2005, 02:56 AM Is there any other way to high bit of an object and shown bit beside masking?
cause there is a clip i wanna do but it has soo many rocks falling down and it i were to do and add my text i'll have to mask every little rock that fall onto the text.
is there an easier way for this?

I heard it can be done easier with auto-trace...how does it really work tho? any help will do ;d still learning^^

You can use another image, such as a gradient or even a greyscale version or the rocks falling as a track matte on the text.
Check the help files in AE under using "track mattes" if you don't know how to apply them.
I believe the best and easiest solution is going to be a combination of using a track matte on and some manual masking. Its dificult to say without looking at the footage.
