View Full Version : Rotoscope constrain proportions
kWolf 04-28-2005, 06:02 PM Hey
The image is resized incorrectly when zooming in rotoscope view. First picture is how it should be, and second one, how it is when you zoom closer.
Help please.

Try creating a grid proporitional to your image's dimensions.. Then map the texture to it.. MUCH better than using the rotoscope, IMHO.
In case you need more info..
render tab/get/clip/create clip from (pick your image)
select your grid,
change one of your views (right) to render tree
clips/select your image clip
drag the blue handle to the scene material and connect it to surface
Double click image node
texture projection/new/planar xz
Change your display to textured decal
Voila!
In addition, I'd create a group for you ref images so that you can easily hide them if you want
Also, if you want to see how to display your image with the texture but still work in wireframe, do a forum search or maybe the online help can help you with unchecking "Override Object Properties"
