CGTalk - First WIP, EVER!

Ive been wondering around the 3d scene for over a month now. Doing some tutorials etc. So i came up with this. I had no expierence whatsoever so dont attack me if u think it sucks, please :)
I think i should buy a book, are there any nice ones out there on character animation and/or Maya 4.0 Unlimited

Ps i did this in a "short"period of time, I still have to find out how to add more details to the head etc. like eyes. Or ill keep it like this, and it will go into history as my first shit :D

Thanks for the reply, actually I hope that there is a future for this little guy. It was more or less based on characters Ive seen these past weeks.
Looking at the quantity of the replies I guess I should do more my best huh?

It's actually quite nicely lit. Since you're just starting out there isn't much I'd want to comment on other than stay at it. But you've already accomplished more than many other starters I've known.

On a side note...you might want to be a bit careful about telling everyone that "you downloaded maya" :rolleyes:
