Hi all,

I have a load of balls, and I wish to attach a active rigid body to them. No problem, I select them all and apply the rigid body. The problem is that, in that way they all get a diffrent rigid body, I would like them to all be affected by the same rigid node. As it is now, if I wish to change the mass I will have to change it on them all one at the time.

Is it even possible to attach the same rigid node to all? How? If not, then how do I easially set the mass for all the rigid bodies?

Thanks,
Jakob

hi jakwag,

i dont think we can assign one rigid body to effect multiple objects.. if it can be , i'd like to know how..

but yes, u can select all the objects (which are rigid bodies) and in the channel box, open the rigidbody node (actually u will be selecting only one of the rigid body node, even though al the objects are selected) and then in the mass box, type in ur required number and hit enter.. this will assign the same mass value to all the rigid bodies.. this happens only through the channel box.. not in attribute editor

BTW: this is possible only on attributes which are common among the selected objects.. meaning to say, mass attribute is common to all rigid bodies.. .so all can be changed at once, through the channel box..

hope this helps..

Hi,

Thanks! That helped indeed. I was, as you said, using the attributes editor, not the channel box. Never realised the diffrence between them.

Thanks again,
Jakob
