View Full Version : Help please: Strange UI error ?

Hi I'm animating some stuff and to get as muts screenspace as possible I use Expert view. But to my big surprise the slider and keypos. is overlaying the curve editor. see here:

Also I don't have the possibility to have it in a bottom viewport:

So is there any way that I can stay in Expert mode and have both timeline/keyframe and curveeditor seperatet ???

Please help, and also correct me if I'm wrong

Your first problem (pic number 1) is strange. I can't get mine to show up like that. My whole timeslider dissappears when I click the curve editor button. Does it do it everytime?

As for your second question... I don't think they built that option into the viewport config because it's already at the bottom. Just maximize the viewport and scale the curve editor up. see attached pic

The slider should dissappear completely when you click the curve editor because all you have to do is drag the time with the double lines.

well... mine disapere also, but I have hotkeys for toogle Timeslider and keys on and off...

Well I like to have the Curve editor at the bottom and the Key/slider above the curveeditor, so they not are overlaping !!! :bounce:

You know, I think expert mode in max 5 is all screwed up. I really liked to work in that mode with the main toolbar and the comand panel showing plus meshtools, but now main toolbar won't work. Bummer.

It works fine in mine:


Custom UI > Keyboard > Show Main Toolbar Toggle :bounce:

And it actually shows? Mine just shows the outlines. Maybe it's just another quadro4 OGL issue.

[edit] Oh, I forgot to mention an important detail: docked to the BOTTOM.

on the image nr. 1 I postet in here there is the outline of the Key/slider.

But xmode works great with both Comand panel and main bar on my pc

I have GF ti-300

strange !!!

See my edit above - looks like the buttom of the expert mode is problematic.
