I just finished editing a video for a presentation. It will be played back on a projector in an auditorium. What is the best software to use for playback? I will be using a laptop that has dual monitor support. So, I could hook the projector up to the computer and replay it that way. But I want the presentation to be seen without the desktop, or controls of the software. I also want to be able to pause and stop the presentation, but I do not want the audience to see the controls. I tried using cyberlink powerdvd, but it didnt work. I made the projector an extended desktop, and I moved the movie windows to the other screen. What is good about powerdvd is that the controls are movable, so I moved the controls to the laptop monitor and I was able to control the movie without showing the controls on the pojecotr. But the quality was poor.

So bassically I need a software that will play a movie on one screen, and have controls on another.

On my desktop, I have a nvidia card, and it has this feature that allows me to right click on a media file and I can choose "play on my tv." It then plays back only the video on the second monitor and has controls on the primary. Can this be done on my laptop?

Is there a different way I should approach this?

So what should i do?

I would suggest using a DVD player connected to a projector and ditch the laptop all together.

Ya, I was thinking that I would have to do that too, but i would rather use the laptop if I can. So does any one know what to do with a laptop?
