Can someone tell me how to make coffee stains for a mug im working on? I've tried making some with SLA (fresnel in alpha) and some 2D noise stuff but can't get any decent results..

Where is this stain? If you want a line try using a gradient for colour and bump. If you want a stain at the bottom try a circular gradient perhaps.

If you want I have a great couple of PSD's of doing stained paper that I have made for another project, or some great reference images some of them you could use as textures
