My client - a highly successful games developer - are currently looking to hire an experienced Lead Animator (Animation Manager) to work on their forthcoming highly anticipated titles.

The ideal candidate needs to be able to manage a team, schedule a team, work with programmers to design systems such as combat systems, lead the quality on the team, advise and lead with regard to character rigging, possibly work on the design team directly. The successful candidate will have held a similar role within the games industry previously and have worked on at least 1 published console title.
Has extensive experience proven ability in games industry of bringing multiple high quality titles to completion.
· Can come onto a team and be immediately useful in a managerial role.
· Has extensive practical knowledge of 3D (Max, Maya, Softimage XSI) software.
· Has significant experience of leading and managing teams of at least 5 people.
· Should be aware of current trends in tools and development and enthusiastic about refining the toolset and pipeline.
· Should be able to specify solutions to technical aspects of the project and delegate their creation as necessary
· Should be an inspiration to other animators.
· Should be able to structure and track the work of other animators.
· Needs to be an excellent communicator (with senior leads in all disciplines and own team).
. Ability to take and give direction within a team of different disciplines.
Salary: to £50k + bens
Location: UK (SouthEast)
