Hi, which is better for 3D: a 17" LCD with 16ms, 170 degree view angle, 1280 x 1024 native resolution or a 19" CRT with 1600 x 1200 @76Hz maximum resolution, 1280 x 1024 native resolution, .25 dot pitch? Will there be distortions on this screen sizes and resolutions, for example when you draw a circle will it slightly become oval?

Thank you for your time what is the calculated wattage for a socket 939, Winchester, Athlon 64 3000 (or Athlon 64 3200), 6600 or 6600GT, MSI nforce3 939 board or Epox 939 board, 2 dimms = 1GB, 80GB SATA? What should be the amperage on the power supply on the 3.3, 5, 12 lines? I'm on a budget and the Task case I plan to buy comes with a 300w power supply. Please advice.
If it's a 754 socket, how much more or lesser is the wattage for an Athlon 64 3000 or 3200 scoket 754 using the most basic socket 754 ECS board?
Will wattages be significantly different

a crt at 1280*1024 will be distorted. many people refuse to believe this, but it is the truth. that being said, crt's do not have a native resolution, so you can just pick a different res (1280*960, or 1600*1200) and go with that.
any mouse should be fine as long as it's got enough buttons for your app.
the power consumption can be found easily by going to AMDs website.

Excuse me, but, is that an European swallow or an African swallow? Go away, or I will taunt you again! LOL:applause:
Monty Python Rules! just saw meaning of life yesterday, LOVED IT!
Anyway, I think a 400dpi mouse would be neigh-on impossible to use. You should get, at a minimum, 800 dpi, though I recommend the 1000 dpi models. I run with a MX-1000 from logitech, it is simply awsome! I never feel like I can't move a piece finely enough you draw something perfect enough. As far as a screen goes, I have a 1280x1024 LCD, and I'm loving it. I notice no distortion and it's very sharp; very good colors too. Just be sure not to skimp on the monitor, that is not the place to save money! And, as far as the CPU goes, I got my hardware repair certification 2 years ago, bad thing is I didn't keep up with it, now I'm just an average mortal again. The point? Can't help ya there!:)
