CGTalk - Script in Rigging

I am interested in rigging and animation and wants to do my major in these two. Though i have done simple and some complex rigs I am totally in dark abt the use of scripting in rigging. I need to learn it to the max. I have got a previous background of C. will that help. Plz help me to learn scripting in rigs and how it works. I am using Maya.

I also need to know about facial rigging in details. Plz Help. :cry:

they have mel scripts on highend3d.com in the animation section that deal with rigging. Check out those scripts.
