so basically, i'm posting this...
I really would LOVE to finally be able to do what i set out myself to do...
GET A JOB WHERE I CAN DO WHAT I LOVE TO DO! what's that?
drawing, graphic design, anything that has to do with my first true love (and i mean that...), ART!
any type of art... EVEN 3D (and i should be showing off my 3d skills soon in here)
if you'd like to see some of my art work, and would concider me as someone you'd hire/help me get my foot in the graphic designer's door-step, please let me know, and i'll do my hardest to not let you down.

what you may want to know about me:

I use:
Adobe: Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects
Corel: draw
Quark
3d studio Max

have worked for:
A sign company (neon, plastic, etc...)
Architect firm
(that's the closest i've gotten to graphic design jobs)

I do (for the fun of it):
Character design
Architectual work/blue prints
Video Editing
Web Developing (my website's going thru heavy BUT SLOW constuction, due to my current job)
life drawing

if you think I may have somthing going for me, let me know... specially if you can help me leave my current (boring, customer service) job, in which even then... I do some graphic design work, then PLEASE let me know, I won't let you down.

Just a tip: It's not that easy. There are no pity jobs out there to rescue people from boring customer service jobs (I used to be in the same boat). You have to go out there and grab the bull by the horns. No-one is going to chase after you with a job. Everyone uses those programs you mentioned. You need to show your work first, then if someone sees potential in you they may hire you. I would also recommend creating a website with your work and promote the hell out of it, the more people that see your work the bigger chance you have of someone who needs someone just like you discovering it.

i've been stabbing at it for a while now... and honestly, there's no leaking of the goods bro.

buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut :) good news :)
i've been trying to get in with this one company, and well... I GOT A CALL BACK!( been trying them for weeks now) lol
i'm meeting with the dude tomorrow, hopefully things will go good. I hope i get this, cuz these guys would pay my college tuition :) and that's a deffinate plus, WISH ME LUCK!!!! :) PLEASE! hahah

yeah im in this boat also :hmm: but.. I'm almost finished with my show reel and im going to be sending it to different companys soon. so hopefully i can land a job also ;)

oh my God, guys, thank you so much :)
guess what?! hehe, tomorrow (tuesday) i'm going to the studio, to POSSIBLY start working there :), they want to give me a one day trial, gotta be there by 9 in the morn though, which blows... but hey, IT'S A START!
job:
retouching pictures for catalogs (jewlery, and models) using adobe proggies (quark, photoshop, illustrator, etc...)
designing the catalogs themselves
and a shitload more, GOD! I hope they'd keep me... i've been waiting for this op. for the longest time.
just goes to show ya... waiting is good.. (but i'm impatient)

i'll keep you guys posted.
and dude... can i see your reel?
I love watching amature work and new reels :) they ROCK!
