Well I know it's a bit late but I finally decide to enter this challenge. That picture tell the story of that guy living in a dark world where everything turned black and white, and where a sort of evil power rules that world.
Somewhere hidden in that black and white universe there is a faerie world where every thing is fool of color, light and happiness. This faerie world represents all the dreams and love that people from the dark world used to have.
In a desperate search of is lost life and dreams, this guy manage to find the faerie world and catch a fairy that he is keeping trapped in her transparent cell. But his quest has turned him insane... this dark world has turned people insane.
Hence, the relationship between the two characters is based on power (human) and fear (fairy) but also adoration (human to fairy).
The title refer to the fairy cell as well as the world where the guy is trapped into ... or maybe the cell is only that guy mind...

Hi,
Here comes the Zspheres...
Stephane: Thanks for the comments and yes, I forgot to mention that everything is going to be Zbrush... I'm addicted to that sofware !!!
Arlutik: Thank you! I love drawing nude fairies in an hyperdynamic position !!!

Hoops!! I just realised theat the milestone of my first post wasn't right... obviously it was a sketch drawing (not a modeling one !!!)

Hi,
I couldn't touch my computer for such a long time that I'm really late now !!! Don' know if I'm going to be able to make it !I should be able to work a lot more on this now so here we go! Fairy complete with head and hair (which I deliberately made to be comics like).

Hi again,
Some of you may noticed on the Zsphere model that there wasn't any root sphere. That is because I hidden it on that picture. I was playing with the idea of doing the head and body separately for 2 reasons: first my computer has not a lot of RAM (512 Mo !) and second I lost the symmetry on the face during the process of posing my model. But after a few try I realized that since I didn't plan to separate the head when I first create the Zsphres model, I wad going to have lots of problem integrating the head to the body. Moreover I'm going to make a multi layer rendering out of Zbrush which mean changing materials which could generate seams problems between the head and body, none to talk about texture matching since she's nude... Hence I get back to my model, tweak it a little bit and manage to get my symmetry back which helped me to model the face and gave me the speed that I needed. The hair have been made by alphaskining some hair drawing made with the help of the Decobrush with no texture and only white color 100% on. I then tweaked the shapes, and, using the multimarker brush I manage to create a sense of depth.
Well, that's it for now.
Any comments are welcom.

Great work Olivier! Her pose and modeling are véry interesting! :bounce:  I hope you'll find the motivation to finish this piece! :)
And I hope you don't mind I begin about it: how is it over there in Disneyland?!? :buttrock:I myself am a great-themepark-freak, and it has also caused that I 'rolled in the CG' (that is now-a-days a 'bigger world' than the 'themepark-world', but unless I still admire themeparks ;) )... I have some really good friends around here who work for one of the best parcs (1 hour car-driving from here): de Efteling! And some other friends have even built there own 'Mini-Efteling' (http://www.mini-efteling.nl) in the backyard! ('sometimes' I also work over there :) )
So, you'll understand I'm interested in how it works for an 'Imagineer' in Disneyland... What are your common jobs and so? :) Is your job a bit related to 'CG'?! Íf you want to answer, but if you wouldn't like to answer here (because 'we' go a bit off-subject then), you can PM or so... :)
Thanks for your time :) & Good luck with this CG project! & Good luck at Disneyland!,

while I realize that your creature is a fairy, he's a bit freaking looking.. I'm not sure if you were going for male or female fairy, but it looks male to me. The waist looks too long, and the feet look odd. nice texture though.. i'd like to see the wings with opacity reduced and more butterfly ish looking..
good expresion on the face : )
