Hello,
I'm quite new to Max, so please forgive me if my question is basic :). I have a script that I want to run in command line mode, but I can't seem to find the appropriate way to do this. I've found 3dsmaxcmd.exe, which you can use like so: <3dsmaxcmd -script "C:\Myscript.ms" "C:\MyMaxFile.max">, but this requires that you are actually trying to *render* something (MyMaxFile.max, in this example).
In my case, I just want to run a data script on a bunch of files--I don't want to render them and I don't need the UI. I've also tried using 3dsmax.exe -script "C:\Myscript.ms", but that seems to confuse Max, and it tries to open the UI anyway.
Can anyone help with a method to run max from the command line with no UI, and without trying to render anything?
Thanks!
