great piece, but some of the forms arent easy to make out at first glace. the sword is a bit lost and im still trying to figure out if the arm is attached to anything with a full form.

this is great style. but im having problems with where this sword is attached to. her right hand seems to be holding nothing but air and the left is obscure but im assuming shes lifting up the back end. it feels like she was drawn first and the sword was put in later.also the pose feels light. despite the obvious lack of weight, i like the pose and i feel it makes this peice.

This is just so gorgeous, I can stare at it all day long. Her pose is a little bit awkward around her neck and shoulders but really, the whole thing is too incredible. I love the how you made that one shade of color come alive across the drawing. Just great! :)

A very interesting picture, blending of mechanical and organic. I like how other than the girl nothing is really connected into one whole. I like how bits of the mashine are punching through the "frame" on the right.

There is so much detail I don't know what to look at. I would perhaps like to see a little bit of separation, a rim light or something, between the girl and all of the mechanics in the background.

My only problem with the piece is that the left side seems so complicated and detailed, I can't see whether I'm looking at a pile of metallic scrap, or a robot of some kind.

This isn't a criticism as such, as it's a style thing on your part, and nothing to do with technical application.

If i would crit anything then that her weapon merges quite a bit with the background. But on the other hand: i like images where i am encouraged to do something :-) took me some time to figure out that she is standing in a mecha hand. cool :-)

Okay your piece is superb...I see that you love mecha...I can't put a finger to say you're a fan of anime...because her eyes are more realistic than anime-stylized...What I can crit is ... what kind of machine is that behind her? I can't say what it is...but if that's where you're going ... fine...That would make it ... abstract... if that is the word to suggest something that is so simplied or magnified ... you can't point out what it is...

The overall piece is breathtaking btw...I love the grey monochromatic look...but I can't decipher what's behind your subject...That's my summary about it right there....

I like the contrast between the hard, huge metal robot and the girl's fragility.
The girl's pose is relaxed, it reflects selfconfidence...
I would be relaxed too if a robot like that were behind me! :)
And one more thing: the girl is just stepping down from the robot's hand like she is going to battle (sword ready too) - - GREAT picture! :thumbsup:

I can not see the robot's "end", I mean I can see the arm and the shoulder, but not the head above them.
- - but it is ok, why shoud it has a head? :)

I like this as well, that sword design is amazing....one thing bugging me on the piece as a whole..i think the figure meshes too much into the background color wise. All kinda runs together for me. That is my one and only crit on it. heh Maybe a highlight or a hard shadowed edge on a part of it to make it jump. Shadows would def do that. my 2 cents!

Even if it's unuseful to say it I have to say that your drawing is amazing. I'm not going to summarize all the qualities of your picture cause there are enough congratulations. So I'm just goings to make one criticism. Like Peddy said the background of your drawing isn't enough "unmarked" (I'm not sure that's the good word). You should darken the background or change a little bit the colour of the background.

Yeah, I also have a problem with how she is actually holding up such a massive sword. It doesn't really look like she's holding anything and that the sword is just floating there. The background is too busy and makes it hard to distinguish foreground from background. Needs to jump out from the picture. I'd like her a little closer too.

Wow, the first thirty seconds of seeing this piece really give you a hit and you think, jeese its perfect. Is this particular charecter a piece you simply began, or does she have some kind of backstory?


The only thing i would fix is the arm. I love the way the machine seems to fear hurting her, but where's the arm coming from? Still, the mystery seems so intriguing and only adds to the presence of the piece. The border break is fantastic here too, something that is not easily done. Really jumps out at you.

Yes, this picture is perfect. Almost. I'm in no position to really critique since I could never wish to be half as good as you, it but I just want to say there's one somewhat unnoticeable error on her proportions. Her thigh of her left leg is wayyy too long compared with her lower leg and the rest of her body. I think you should have moved her knee up to make it fit better. But other than that, it's perfect like I said. Love the mecha details.
