hi everyone,

I have a problem with animating a character:

I have set up a conventional rig with HI-Ik for the legs and arms.

When I move the Ik-Goal away from the start of the chain and it reaches it`s max position or further (when the chain is almost a straigt line), the knee does not come to a smooth stop, but sort of snaps into position.
Just imagine, the feet of my char are pinned to the ground (IK),now I move the hip up, sooner or later, the legs will be completely straight, and there it is: the ugly snap!

It is quite hard to avoid this when animating.

I remember there used to be a thing like IK damping in older versions of MAX.

Is there a way to damp the maximum IK angle?

THX,

Chris
