View Full Version : Export transparent video?

Hey everyone...

Is there anyway to export a transparent video out of AE? I've tried and the best I could do was getting it on a black background.

What I want to do is take this rain animation I generated, and then put it over top of an image in flash. Any ideas on how to make the video transparent.

You need to export a format that supports an Alpha channel like tga or tif and make sure its checked in you render output settings

If you render out a quicktime using the Animation compression setting and under the colors tab choose RGB+Alpha, this will render out your video with an alpha channel.

Can I just import that into flash then?

Will flash know what to do with the alpha chanel ?

I'm sorry but I don't use Flash very much at all. You could try it.
