hi all,

i know this isn't the correct forum, but since it's the grandfather of Maya i figure it would be the most appropriate.

does anyone know if Aliaswavefront ever offered any promos to upgrade from Power Animator V8 to Maya?

also, just wondering, does anyone here still use PA?

No they didn't that I am aware of. PA 8 and Maya shipped near the same time IIRC. I do remeber that the guys I had been working for paid $35,000 a seat to get into the Maya Unlimited 1.0 beta test program. They were upgrading from PA 7.5.1 I think. I know at least one person who still uses PA on an old Indigo. I'm sure there are others. There are still plenty of companies using older versions of SI in produstion as well.
