I like the style you want to put in the image, the overall feeling. The form of the cups and pot is interesting. Specially the pot. I like it.

However, I think the composition done with the position of the cups lacks of integrity to strenghten the feeling. So I'll give a recomendation from my point of view:

Try not to cut objects on edges, and try to give some balance using the rule of thirds or angles to the position of the elements. That would be the simplest thing to do, and it may work. If you want to cut the table there is no problem, but to cut a cup is not good. I say this from a photographic view.

nice pic-maybe adding a darker background behind the cups and pot might help too-they are getting lost a little-just a thought,but i like the tones-later
