View Full Version : UV map blackout - kinda asap :S thanks

Hey guys.. a problem i dont quite understand. Ive laid out all the uvs for a character. The no matter what i do or how i go about it.. if i duplicate > the moment i combine the new side to the orginal the test shader goes black on the one side. even in no texture viewport mode the two sides look different :S .Please any insight to this. I really need to move on in this project as it for a course and is due monday morning. Its brought me to a halt. :S

ok - to make it even more confusing it works fine when i smooth. the texture comes back.. ARG

try updating your video card drivers ?

Have you made multiple UV sets for your character? If you have then you probally just need to go into the UV-Centric connection editor and manually connect your texture to the shader again. But that's only if you have multiple uv set on your character

single uv set.. :S

seems converting to sub'd and back fixed it. Also now it doesnt do it in the first place anymore.

Also had a vertex normal issue that I just fixed the same way. Weird.
