Thank you for your time. I'd like to ask why Apple is using LCDs when most people know graphics related work like 3D animation and graphics editing is better in CRT? Is there something that Apple knows about using the LCD that others don't know when it comes to graphics and 3D animation? Same question with web development.
Also, would it be better to have an LCD and a CRT working together. Would it be better to have one 21" or higher monitor than two 17" or two 19" all at their native resolution? Btw, if they are in their native resolution does it automatically mean that the measurement you see in the screen is the same as in real life?
Xeon with integrated graphics or an Athlon 64 with an AGP card?
I'd also like to ask since 3D rendering is mostly done by the CPU, if a single Xeon (Opteron not available) with integrated graphics is better than an Athlon 64 and an AGP card setup? Does a Intel's board for the Xeon really need ECC memory or can you just use a normal DDR on an Intel Xeon motherboard? Can you use a normal ATX casing on an Intel Xeon motherboard. What is Inte'l minimum power supply requirement for this motherboard?
Speaking of power. Does anyone know the wattage used by an Athlon 64, a 6600 and higher graphics card, 2 x 512MB ram, a DVD writer and a microATX board. Will 200w be the minimum to power all these? This is if I decide to go for an microATX setup using an Athlon 64 or Pentium 4 instead of a Xeon.
God bless,
Alvin
