Title: Mutant Boy
Name: Fabricio Torres
Country: Brazil
Software: Photoshop, SOFTIMAGE|XSI, ZBrush

I did this model for a modeling session based on Schell Studios (http://www.schellstudios.com) sculptures. I chose the mutantboy, made by Jordu himself.

Original:
http://www.myarchspace.com/fptorres/Mutantboy1.jpg

Modeled in XSI in about 20 hours. All textures hand painted in ZBrush, with exception of the lips and eyes, which were photos.

You can see the model without textures as well as wireframes here:

C&C welcome

PS - This model was done only for fun and study purposes, all the rights of the design and the original sculpture belongs to Schell Studios.

Wow, that is sick.(in a good way)

It's really hard to find anything to crit on this, but maybe you could work on the skin shader so you can make it a little softer, it's a little too "crisp" as it is now. Oh and I love the eyeball o_O. Nothing to say about the modelling, top notch.

you have my 5 stars

Hey dude
this came out great! only thing i can say is eyebrows, and some wetness around eyelids and maybe some on the tumourish thing on his face just to spice things up. great work dude. teeth and eyes look great btw.

I know what you mean, I`ll work on that, thanks for pointing it.

yahyaehsan:
lol, I don`t think I`m a taron lover since I copied Jordu Schell, :D But in the end they`re just great artists aren`t they?

xiaoyi:
hey, thanks for the comment. I saw your stuff, great works!

Kol:
Thanks mate! now, WHEN are you planing to finish YOUR stuff :D Show us some renders, c`mon, don`t be shy, hehe

PedramK:
I felt that he`d look better without hair, like as he went throught chemical treatment for his cancer and then all hair was gone. (in fact I hate to do hair :D). Thanks for comment

drummer, Andy H, sergage, AZTGlorY:
Thanks a lot for your comments and support. I really appreciate.

Aw man.. that's just sick... but freakishly awesome! I love the way you textured some parts of the flesh a bit white.. like some white liquid is just gonna burst its way through the skin or something. Ew. I kinda agree that the skin looks a bit dry and harsh, but aside from that, beautiful...

Just a little anatomical hint. Almost all faces have a slant backwards from your nose to your chin. Some have a quite severe slant. On your face your chin is almost in line with the bottom of the nostrils. I think you would see some big improvements if you moved back the chin.

_amazing_ work .... jaw dropping work, congratulation, really!!! The only suggestion (and this is personnal and very argueable) would be to add a tad of translucence on the skin shader, especially for the ears.

Amazing Fabricio!

First time that I see an aberration presented as something that makes me feel for the person in question. This stunning piece of work does so incredibly much more than the Gory Images Bank. I wouldn't even know what smiley to put here.

I loved the work you did on the skin textures, any tips you could share as for making skin from scrath?

Thanks in advance Fabricio,
