Hello, I have a problem with CG Talk's RSS feed that doesn't seem to be discussed in earlier threads, so here it is:


I used this link as my RSS feed:

http://www.cgtalk.com/external.php?forumids=131,121,137

When I open the folder, I get 15 bookmarks. These are pages I've already seen, so I click on open in all tabs and let them all load. I close firefox, open it again, what do I find? The links are back! It doesn't seem to give me what's new. I don't know how RSS works so if this is proper please by all means call me a dolt, but in case it isn't...how do we fix this?

Also, I've marked all threads in all forums as read.

Yeah, that's how RSS works. It will always show you threads as if you'd visited the page, but RSS isn't capable of indicating if a thread is read/unread. (Even if it did, the RSS feed is only updated every hour or so by your browser, so you'd have to wait a long time before it "worked out" that you'd read a thread).

I'll keep it in mind for something we can look at next time we're on the RSS feed though, thanks for the feedback :)
