Sadly, Shaolin Soccer never did (and thatīs a shame, being Brazil "the land of soccer" and all that).

saw it yesterday, wasn't as funny as i'd expected, but the story was fantastic, and the cg was top notch :)

ugh, gimme kung fu hustle over matrix any day..

honestly I really liked shaolin soccer, pretty funny, but not really an american type film.. my parents thought it was stupid.. and not funny at all..

and now kung fu hustle, i really liked it, fantastic CG, not quite on par with hollywood, but definatly better than alot of crap out there. and the cg is used well, and where needed. And ya a great story. reminded me of anime like dbz and naruto.. where they all always have a trick up there sleeve and always save the most powerful move till last.

chow is definatly going to go far!

edit: i LOVED the dialoge in the casino amongs the 3 "greats" that was a great build up.

So has the American release been edited at all? I remember them cutting some out of Shaolin Soccer.

My girlfriend was dissappointed a little bit because with the word "hustle" in the title, she was expecting more dancing. Were any dancing scenes cut from the film?

Your Hong Kong CG master has killed my US CG master.

I have come to avenge my master.
I will use the "Crane of Envy" method.

PREPARE TO DIE!:scream:

Saw this last night. It was funny. Cool fight scenes. The CG was not seamless in alot of scenes, but fit the over the top fighting action in the movie. Story was really predictable, but made it excellent leave your "Check your brain at the door" entertainment.

oh yah, CG wasn't seamless, but it didn't matter, the entire thing was a big cartoon, and i really think Chow is in line to take over the title of comic kung-fu actor from Jackie Chan. I would prefer Hustle's Kung-fu over Matrix Revolutions anyday, pretty don't mean good.

Don't forget to check out Shaolin Soccer by Stephen Chow also.

I happened to see the Mandarin dubbed DVD like 3 months ago, really neat. I am so happy that the Chinese cinema is really picking up lately. The quality in the films is really nice to see.

Stephen Chow is great, very funny, I can't wait to see Seven Swords, seems like another winner:
