pipjor 04-22-2005, 02:19 AM what would be the best way to create clouds 3ds6, the viewer would "fly" through a layer of clouds then be able to see the ground/aireal.??

facing particles with alpha mapped textures is the quick and dirty way to get clouds.

You could also look into afterburn. It's more expensive renderwise, but will produce 3d results.

Don't forget to play with the built in volumetrics, not that I have seen great clouds produced with them, but if you are not up for paying for AfterBurn, or just need a simple noise volume, then have a go with em.
