Well here is my problem I'm trying to make a head lamp for my WIP car. And now im on textures and they are kicking my but all over the 3ds MAx. Like all the headlights the outside part is smooth but the inside has bump on it and thats my problem I tryed usind 2sided materials but the bump dosnt show through what do i have to do to make it show on the other side i guess pick will help.

and heer is the back of it see the bump map is there but i cat see it through the front :( is there a way to make show???? plpllplpl HELPPPPPP!!!!!!!!

how about actualy building the bumps, ore use a displacement for it and give it some volume. you actually see the bumps in reallife because the glass has a sertain thicknes , and the bumps change the reftactive behaviour. sticking one poly to another wont get you nowere IMHO. it´s still flat. if you want to make bumpy glass, model it ore it wont work.

well im kinda pushing the envelop of how many triangles i can have before my pc blows up lol and im already close to that point thanks for the reply I'll do that method on a separate head lamp without a car lol
Oh ya thats not 2 dif polyes that one ploly with a doublesided materil on it :)
