Hi
I am modelling a huge, i want it feel huge. So
1) modelling more detail (but this take me long time)
2) more subtilize texture

Is there a third way to accomplish this?
thanks

ummm...what?

well, in order to model a huge u have to make sure u start from a small
also u should carefully check u'r topology because as u go faster and faster with the work it should get bigger and bigger, and finnaly u should get to a huge
texturing is not a problem as the huge can ussually be textured with procedural maps
u should also be careful to take u;r time with u'r, ummm, work, as u don;t want to get to a huge too fast, its better to go slow
and last but not the least, u should make sure that u get a huge, if not, u should stick working with a small until u are prepared to make a huge
cheers

ps. in the end it should feel huge, if it doesn't, just ask someone to umm, look at it
if he (and preferably a she) doesn't agree that it is a huge, well, tough luck ol' chum

ROFLMAO and every other web abreviation to describe similar things ... damn! I assure you i cried with this one! I mean real tears!

Ok. Stop.

peter cheung, you didn't made your post very clear: What are you modeling anyways? You just said that it's a huge .... a huge what?

You better say it so people can start helping and stop teasing.

On the other hand....

Some say that it's not the size of the *model* that matters, but how you *animate* it ...

Sorry couldn't resist. :)

this has got to be the funniest question i've ever seen
i want to model a huge, i want it feel huge
i just can't stop laughing
sorry, i know its unnapropriate and rude, but cmon,
just real the damn question
its just hilarious

I'm betting he wants to model a huge spaceship thou. Any bets?

My guess is a planet(s), maybe he is having trouble making a planet look or feel big.

My only suggestion for modeling a huge is to use the scale tool.

no, see, what he wants is HUGE. so first you create a text object which says "huge". then you scale it by 10,000,000,000,000,000,000% and angle the camera so that it looks HUGE....

HAHAHA:scream::scream: couldn't resist on that

sorry
forgive my bad english, i was modelling a space battleship, when i render it, it look like a small ship, i want it look like a huge ship. I already added some high resolution texture, but it still look like a small ship. May be the modelling is not enough detail or may be i need to put some small thing to the scene.
So how can you guy make a space battleship that look like a huge ship?

thanks

ok, to modelling a battleship that look huge, i need to start at modelling the most small part , then do the modelling and modelling, for my skill level, it will take me 10 years.

Is there any other faster way. I tried to put a high resolution texture, but doesn't work. Some people said i need to put more small object near the ship, then the ship will look huge, but i disagree, look at the startek, the spaceship fly in the space, you can feel it is a huge ship, but the background of it is just a black, no another object is on the sceen except the ship.

First thing about making something look big is giving something as a comparison... want a ship to look big? put it near smaller ships.

Next, play with perspective - a tricky camera can add a lot to your image.

Don't cover the object in detail... add variety, big things will often have patches of detail, and flatter areas. Smaller objects have a more consistant detail level.

as said, you need something to compare. add airlocks, writings and windows and probably small astronauts doing some welding.

i need to start at modelling the most small part , then do the modelling and modelling, for my skill level, it will take me 10 years.
look out for greeble, but please don't overdo it.

Ok I WON!!! Yeah! Lol!

Peter, i'd really give Greeble a try. It makes wonders. Adds all those bits and pieces of geometry, giving a sense of scale very efficiently.
