View Full Version : nonlinear deformers driven by texture?

hey,

anyone has an idea, how i could connect a sine-deformer to a surface but only make it affect parts of the surface:

like having a ramp or fractal on the surface, that controls the amplitude of the deformer..

edit: nope.. i dont want to use displacement.

Take your object, put the deformer on it, save out a series of objects, turn them into a blendshape, animate it , then mix that with the original shape using xyWeightedBlend.mel found at:
