Hi all,
I'm wondering how to go about doing efficient displacement mapping with either the default scanline renderer or mental ray. I was trying it out (instead of modeling gobs of little widgets), but I was rather unimpressed with the fact that I had to uber-tesselate my nurbs surface for the displacement to render decently. Is there a way to set it up to tesselate a surface on the fly and only where the extra geometry is needed?
