View Full Version : Ramp color position SDK

Hi;

Is there a way to SDK (Set Driven Key) the position of a color in a Ramp node and make Mental Ray to understand it without any errors?

I made this with my eye shader in MAYA and rendered quite good, but MR refused to render saying that parameter was missing (or something like that). I managed to find that my ramp SDK were the responsible for that error so I removed it and now it renders well, but I canīt animate my iris size.

Any ideas or workarounds?

You should be able to bake out the animation of the SDK so it's no longer needed and mental ray will render the baked animation without any errors. mental ray for maya just doesn't like SDK's, one more thing on the list of faulty implementations with mental ray and Alias.

So that basically means that I canīt test the scene until itīs animation is finished..., Do you mean that?, but If I canīt test my scene I canīt see if eye animation is OK since I have no eye before it is rendered...
