View Full Version : Max 5 Morpher Issues
Using Max 5 and the Morpher Modifier. When I link a targeted object and put its value to 100 it looks fine in the viewport and renders fine. However, when I remove the targeted object fromthe scene, and then render it does not reflect the change. It just renders the default position.
Therefore its just rendering properly when the targeted object is in the scene. Am I missing a button somewhere?

Not so..... this should work fine, i.e. once the target has been picked the morph modifier will 'remember' the shape even if the target is deleted. Now as for why this is not working at the momment, I'm not quite sure..... But yes I think there is an option for this, read the help, it should have some info on this.

(Can't check myself, I'm at work using another package :( )

Just tested it and it's working fine here. You can delete the target and the data is stored in the Morhp modifier. You can then extract the target if you need to tweak it more

Just guessing here but would an option like "automatically refresh targets" end up invalidating the slider once the target has been deleted? Just a stab in the dark.. I know there's a checkbox in the morpher-modifier like that, but I don't know if it works like that.
I had a meshsmooth under the Morpher. The meshsommth Iterations was at 1 and the Render value was at 3. When I switched the render value to 1 it renders just fine. So I guess even you want to preview low poly and see a high poly render, its not possible with using Morpher.

Just put meshsmooth above morpher and it will work fine.
Boy, that makes me feel better, I guess it was one of those things that I've been working on too long to have thought of that.
Thanks all!
