CGTalk - max5 curve editor wackiness

OK, so I animate something, open the curve editor, and then select only the 'z rotation' node to only show the z curve. As soon as I scroll the time slider or change the time in any way, the curve editor automatically shows all transform curves.

How can I keep this from happening so that I can only view the curve of a single track while animating and scrolling the time?

Oops...OK I see what was wrong. I had settings>auto select>animated checked on in the trackview.
