I saw your piece and I must say it's amazing. Really good work overall, a nice personal style of drawing and the always appealing "rough" look made a very solid piece to show of your skillz.

Chingonsisimo!

Well I'm from Torreon, Coahuila; but I work at Anima Estudios in Mexico City, I went to VFS too. I was there for the combined animation, you know 2D and Maya. Though my 2D film is not nearly as polished and cool as yours, lol. Mine does look like a "student" did it.

Peace

Wow, great work! I felt the short flowed very nicely. The only strange thing for me was when the hawk (hawK?) bursts out of the temple there seems to be a missing in-between, at least the sun jumps from the horizon to midday, but that could be your stylization at work, no?

I wish you my best!

Not bad, but a very common problem is that it could do with some severe editing (you only have a few seconds before the audiences attention wanders), also for a 2D reel i thought you would have concentrated more on character animation and less with 3D and backgrounds. The character was well drawn, sorry if i sound harsh about the other things.

Just thought, i was assuming it a three year course but lots of VFS stuff is shorter (i was going to go myself years ago)

Yes,

The sun rising is just the concept that I had in mind, part of the style of the film. I agree with the character animation, but I was more focused on the story, storytelling and the art direction.

Well, I really don't know too much about the process to make animation, but as far as I can see, it's a story with a huge background... a lot of simbolism...

I really like it!! Congrats!!!
