View Full Version : Bump Mapping in Maya

Hey, i was just wondering how you could make bump maps in Maya, Tips, Tutorials, Links would be very helpful. I've tried doing bump maps by myself, didn't work out to well, and the tutorial in Maya doesn't explain it it clear enough, can someone please help me?

do you mean use bumpmaps for rendering stuff in Maya? presumably you create it in Photoshop or wherever and then just apply them in your material's bumpmap?

Material based bump mapping like assigning a bump map to a anistropic texure, stuff like that.

Its seems that the Maya help files should be able to answer this. If your looking for more. The new video tutorial kit on creating render nodes at http://www.digital-tutors.com/digital_tutors/product.php?prod=renderNodes seems fairly interesting.
