Howto select+copy a part of layered image?

I would probably just drag the layers you want into the new image, then delete the parts you don't want.

yea I have tried your way but layers become not aligned to each other after draggin' to the new file (also I want them to occupy whole new image not the part (like copy->create new file with 'copy' dimentions))

hold down shift when dragging linked layers

duplicate the image, make all the layers into a layer set. crop the image to where you want it, then save it. drag the layer set to the new doc...
