View Full Version : Advanced Maya Text modeling
Crazzy Legs 10-02-2002, 08:10 AM I have a project where I need to create opening credits in a movie. Two names are going to be placed on the screen at once. I need to create the names so they are made out of a single spline/curve. The spline has to start on the left side of the screen and end on the right right side of the screen. Any ideas?

personally i wouldn't even bother using maya for text, unless u got lots of time on your hands, maya isn't really made for this type of thing.. just my 2cents....

Do you mean make the curve shape as the name, and then extrude something along the path???

the splines are going to be used as a path for a particle emitter. I need to create the effect of a fuse/sparkler. I figured the best way to do that would be to just use a path(which would write the names) and a particle emitter.
Anyother ideas?
