Says here:

ASUS
A4B00D
wide tft
amd 64 3200+
ATI 9200 64MB
DVD-RW
512MB mem
60GB HDD

1150euros + 18% tax

The thing is, i dont know much about either amds or atis, the only ati i've ver used was a radeon 8500. The terms with this dealer are pretty good and i could afford somthing like this either now or real soon.
Id like to use a laptop for some light 3d modeling, mainly in Max, and some cad drawing. Could this configuration (mainly the video card) push that, also is it worth this money.

I am reluctant to say that the laptop could handle light modeling on Max,
But try shopping around a little more, I am sure that you could find better for the price.

I think it'd handle light modeling in Max just fine. But I'd agree, you could probably find something a little better for the price.

I just realised that the model numbers are different for each region. The main question is, can i find something better for the price here, and of course what would that be. Id like to add that i'm not an expert on laps either, so this would be a pretty big venture... first lap, first amd, first ati...

So what am i looking for, at the same price, more memory, better video card?

Here is one option.
An IBuyPower Laptop (http://www.ibuypower.com/ibp/store/configurator.aspx?mid=126), for about the same price.
Though I would like to add that you might want to save a few hundred dollars and look at an Boxx system (http://www.boxxtech.com). Or at least a system with an 17" screen. (depending on if you care about battery power)
