How should I word this....

When ever I use a deform, and like the result, I want to force the mesh to take on that new shape. However, I don't want the deform tag as it's child in the heirchy, that way I can directly edit the deformed mesh, instead having to deal with an undeformed mesh along with a deforming cube.

Is there any way to get rid of the deform tag without getting rid of the deformed effect that it has?

If your still confused I can elaborate:

Say I create a sphere (and converted it to an editable mesh) and taper the top to make the sphere egg shaped... do I need to keep the deform tag if I want the keep the sphere looking like an egg?

I think it's a good question! It would only make sense that C4D would allow you to make a deform permanent.

---sorry for the wordy question, and thanks for reading this far!

Functions->Current State To Object

Adrian current state to object is also a great way of joining together two objects into one.Remember to replace the smoothing tag or even in a hyper nurbs your mesh will look odd :)

Third eye your English is very good,I never have any trouble understanding what you are saying :thumbsup:
