View Full Version : how do I get particles to emit from particles?
amckay 10-01-2002, 11:28 PM Guys.. I'm working on a feature at the moment where at the end of the film there's a rediculous amount of fireworks going off. I've only been using maya for a small period and so far I know maya can emit particles based upon a collision event, although is there a way to tell particles to emit and them stream a trail of particles out?
If someone can answer this, I would be very appreciative.
Thanks!

Hey guys thanks for the reply. The tutorial covers particles based on a collision whereas I was more specifically looking for emitting from particles without an event needed.
Although it turns out gundogs right, I was trying to emit from 'surface' and it wasn't working, but omni and directional work fine.
thanks again!!
