To an extent, it depends on what camera mode (see Edit | Prefs) and how many buttons on your mouse (I'd recommend 3, btw)
The info line at the bottom of your screen will tell you about your options, whatever you choose. eg in 3 btn Mirai mode, MMB starts the camera, allowing you to tumble...
Choose whatever setup you find the most comfortable (also depends on whether you choose a mode that's the same as another app you might be using) - Mirai mode (3 btn) has some options that don't exist in other modes, btw.
Press x/y/z to view along appropriate axes (use shift for other direction)
o (letter, not zero) toggles between ortho/ perspective
select something (even a single vert/ edge/face will do) and press A to Aim the camera at that point and set a new rotate origin (very useful)
Can also checkout
View | Frame (shift+A)
View | Align to Selection (no hotkey, but can assign one (see help for info) to it)
If you've got the relevant prefs enabled, you can do stuff on highlighted elements - ie you don't have to actually click on (and select) the element - saves clicks and is quicker :)
Characters in sq.brckts [Q] refer to keybd chars, btw - otherwise, LMR are mouse btns
