I'm currently using Max 6 and am having serious problems with file sizes ramping up and random crashes. I know about the obscure fix gc() which works OK, but I was wondering if anyone who's working on Max 7 has had similar problems.

Essentially is it worth getting the upgrade to avoid such problems or does it have the smame issues?

How large are the files you're talking about?

they can be anything from 1MB to 16MB but ramp up to 90/120MB roughly. When I do the gc() thing it puts the sizes back but it's a serious pain in the arz.

i havent seen any file bloating in max 7 yet - i got it the day it was released ...
so couple of months and no bloaty **cross fingers**

I had the same problem with max6, haven't seen it yet with 7.
