Design, model, texture and animate 3D models for use as rendered or real time objects in game titles!

Core Job Responsibilities:
Establishes production processes in accordance with development needs.

May assist in and direct the animation of 3D models; may oversee other 3D artists.

Recommended Qualifications:
5 plus years work related experience required.

Must be highly proficient in Maya and have knowledge of other 3D packages and/or high end tools.

Must have extensive character animation experience.

Some experience using motion capture for animation preferred.

Extensive knowledge of desktop graphics software including Photoshop is required.

Technical background preferred.

Some basic knowledge of MEL scripting language preferred. Portfolio review required.

Bachelor's degree in fine arts, animation or related field preferred.

I'd say that they require someone who can Design, model, texture and animate 3D models for use as rendered or real time objects in game titles.

interesting to note in this post, as next year i am hoping to be accepted in a bachelor of fine arts, so at least i know im in the right buisness.

sorry AndreK i would love to but im still in education.

Exactly, but that's not the job description of an animator.
