View Full Version : Transparent Background with Shadows
MagnaDyne 04-12-2005, 01:49 PM Is there a way to get a transparent background from your renders, and still keep shadows?
I have seen ways to save as a TIFF with Alpha & then delete the Alpha channel, but this does not work with shadows sense I need to cast shadows onto an object.
TIA

Use the shadow catcher plugin (freeware) in your transparencychannel

How exactly do you use this?
I tried applying the file to my transparency channel like I would a texture. When i went to render it I got an error.
Thanks
