hi mayj_kickass,

cool little animation. i like the character design with that ninja's scarf. i really fell sorry for him, to be aggraveted and underestimated in one's own fight abilities must be very annoying.. :D

some proposals/crits:
- the layout of your scene would be more interesting, if you work out a light mood to point out the ninja and let the room get much miore depth. it's looks quite plane for now. you already have some mist and volumetric light in the scene, but it's blurs everything instead bringing some depth, i think. don't get me wrong, volumetric light and fog are good here, it's typical for those sets.

- when the ninja goes for his combatant and leaves the view, maybe it would emphasize the fight if some things that we can only hear are actually flying through the cameras view area. hmmmm, e.g. some arrows and his sword...

- and when he's back, he could be slightly disheveled, his scarf could be tattered or so..

just some thoughts. :)

Overall... he's stiff. He's a ninja! Loosen him up! Explore the space - dynamic poses and all that good stuff! Also, he's off camera for waaaay too long. I realize that it's a pain to animate all that, but really, if he's going to get his @$$ kicked, it should be quick. That's my opinion... Get him back on screen, because that's what we're there to see. Not just a still render. I realize this is kinda harsh, but at least you know now what to tweak.

i think you need to make your animation more snappy and make the scene a little bit brighter . apart from that i was cool looking forward to the next one.:)

No no no... not snappy. Smooth! Because he's a ninja. And ninja's are stealthy and smooth! If anything... just tweak him in the graph editor.

hey mike i appreciate your help but this character is supposed to be funny and stuff..kind of not the ninja you are thinking (e.g. stealthy, etc..)

well about the smoothness on the arcs and the lighting, im on it right now. i did use the graph editor and apply ease in and ease out flow on the fcurves. the dope sheet was also of great help during manual breakdowns and offsetting of keys..ill be posting a revised one when it's finished.

hoping to hear from you guys..

I apologize if it came off as a misunderstanding. I realize that it's a comical character, but if you hit up the graph editor, then I'll definitely wait to see the new version. Best of luck and my apologies again.
Keep on animatin'.
