Hey everyone,

My friend Jeff Simpson and I just finished a little project for school. Its taken about 4 weeks from start to finish. We modelled, textured, rigged and setup morph targets in the first 2 weeks, and then animated on the last two weeks. Everything is done in max with a custom rig using morph targets and bones.

The song is by O-zone and is called "Dragostea Din Tei". Im sure some people have seen this brilliant peice of music being used in the infamous webcam debut of the guy from the states singing his heart out.

Anyways, enjoy the piece.

I'm not sure if you were looking for a crit for this piece...

We are not looking for anything really. We just want people to view it. The piece is finished but you can go ahead and give feedback.

The overall piece is flat... your texture is visually lumpy. I think that I would've chosen a different song to sing to. It looks like it's facial rig and everything else is solid, but it's kinda spastic in it's overall movement. I'm not completely knocking the piece, mind you, but I am merely giving an outsiders point of view on the whole animation.do what you will with my crit. :)

I think the animation is good, nice in the eyes. The face shapes seem a bit quasi though, it doesnt look like the face shapes our mouth realy makes in other words, but its agood job never the less

im with mikeyb3 on this ,i like it but, it might just be the song .its drives my mad .
There are parts the animation that are good but some of the animation is too fluffy ,brad bird talks about it on the incredibles dvd .Its when your animating too much in the space of time ,not hitting the right beats. i hope this helps your future animation

hahah that is some funny shit, seriusly, a dead man singing one of the gayest songs, and that song gets stuck in peopels heads, lol, that was pretty funny tho, but i would have to agree that some of the facial expressions are a little exagerant, but all in all the model is pretty good and the textures arn't bad either, the face rig looks like its set up pretty well, over all good job
