the plates look a little too shiny to me.

Is this a blinn? Based on the "glowy" whiteness and the glassy reflection on the lower plates in the stack, I'd say both eccentricity and reflectivity are up too high.

Looks real to me. You may want to tone down the depth field blurring.

Looking nice and vey realistic. I personally like how the first image has a glow to it.

yeah i agree... turn down the DOF

makes ur picutre look unnatural .... like the picture has too much light and somehow you still used a supper huge apature. .... im getting the feeling that the plates are the size of pennies becuase of the DOF you used....

so tone it down by a huge margin and your picture will be worth millions of dollars

im loving the realism

Outstanding! Really, super-nice.

The only thing I would change would be to warp the plates slightly or rotate them just a couple pixels for realism.

-edit-
Naw, I wouldn't. They look great the way they are! :)

thanks again guys -

since im using maxwell render, it takes a WHILE to get a good clean result from it. so I just set the time to 6 hours and let it go overnight haha.
