I have a hierarchical Subdivided surface, meaning it's got its levels 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4 still intact, not collapsed. It's a big and complex one, and it took a long time to model. I really would like to avoid going back to level 0 and redoing everything above that.
But when I try to fix some screwed-up UV's (because I attached parts), by transferring perfect UV's from a polygon-version of the 0-level, it seems to work at first (when I put the SubD in polyproxymode), but when I go back to Standard mode my old screwed-up UV's come back and the new ones disappear. Anybody know a work-around?
