hey everyone, i have a little problem im hoping someone can help me with. i have a scene im trying to work on in LW. it was originally a MAX scene, so i used polytrans to convert the geometry over to an LWO file, and brought it into Layout. then the problems started.
i noticed everything seems kinda small.. so small infact the camera "lens" apparently clips my ground plane when i try to move it into place. i thought this was probabally normal, so i decided to just model the scene over in modeler.. (its a pretty simple scene)
so thats what i did. remodeled it, got everything to line up the way it should, and sent it over to layout. then the exact same thing happened again.. my ground plane, which is 1 km x 1 km only coveres 4 grid blocks. the light is sitting smack dab in the middle of the scene, and the camera appeared to suffer the same "clipping" as before. guess polytrans wasnt the problem after all.
i also noticed this time around that when i moved the ground plane, it was moving several km at a time, and my grid set itself to 500m squares.. but here is the real stumper for me.. the camera is huge... about 350m long! is this normal? if i was to model a city street to scale, would my camera be larger then a building? or have i even made any sence? lol i would post some pics to help clarify, but im one of the few people on here with no image host i suppose..
